Banner Elk, NC- The No. 9 Lady Cobras upset the No. 8 Lees-McRae Bobcats 78-60 in the first round of the CVAC Tournament on Monday night in women’s collegiate basketball.

Senior India Elliot scored a game high 25 points, going a perfect 6-for-6 from the charity stripe, as well as shooting 5-for-6 from beyond the arc.

Lotta Aaltonen recorded her first double-double of the season with 15 points and 10 rebounds, while Temeca Spain recorded her third double-double in a row with 13 points and 13 rebounds.

Coker will now travel to Misenhiemer, NC to face No. 1 seed Pfeiffer University at 7:00 p.m.
