2022-23: Competed in 11 meets between Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field...Ran a personal best of 11.22 (Outdoor 100M) at the 6th Annual Adidas Trojan Challenge. Simpkins also picked up two more Personal Records at the 2023 SAC Outdoor Track & Field Championship with times of 21.94 (Outdoor 200M) and 48.57 (Outdoor 400M)...Broke the program record with a time of 49.05 (Outdoor 400M) at the USC Open Outdoor 2023.

2021-22: Competed in three meets during the indoor season...Finished seventh in the 200m at both the Camel City Invitational and Mondo College Invitational...Competed in six meets during the outdoor season...Member of 4x100m relay team that was victorious at the Rams College Invitational...Finished fifth at the Rams College Invitational and fourth at the Adidas Trojan Challenge in the 400m...Finished eighth and set a personal best in the 400m at the SAC Outdoor Championships with a time of 49.33.

2020-21: Participated in three meets as a freshman...Was a part of the fifth-place 4x100m relay team at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational (Mar. 19-20)...Was a part of the ninth-place 4x100m relay team (42.46) at the USC Open (Apr. 17)...Was a part of the third-place 4x400m relay team (3:20.53) at the South Atlantic Conference Outdoor Championships.

High School: Attended Northwestern High School where he ran track and field for the Trojans...4x4 state champions...ran for the Charlotte Flights club team...4x4 relay time of 3:16 which was the second place champion...named to the academic A-B honor roll.
