
Men's Track and Field Wraps Up Competition at the South Atlantic Conference Outdoor Championships
HICKORY, N.C. - Coker University men’s track and field wrapped up competition for the season at the South Atlantic Conference Outdoor Championships on Sunday (Apr. 25). Coker finished eighth in the team standings with 29 points.

Murishi Irankunda notched his spot in the long jump finals with a mark of 6.81m, before tying the school record to place eighth in the event with a jump of 6.83m. Irankunda would later place third in the triple jump with a mark of 14.20m. Luke Baker would finish tied for 10th in the pole vault at 3.7m, while the 4x100m relay team of Davion Sebree, Mahari Greene, Kristoffer Persen and Jerimil German placed fourth in the event with a season-best time of 42.06 seconds.
Sage Lilly would go on to finish sixth in the 400-meter dash in 51.17 seconds, while Seraphin Kibonge finished fourth (54.93) and Trevon Campbell finished seventh in the 400m hurdles in 56.92 seconds. Lilly also finished eighth in the 200m dash in 22.23 seconds, while the team of Austin Simpkins, Kibonge, Greene and Lilly finished third in the 4x400m relay in 3:20.53.
This concludes the 2020-21 men's track and field season.
