
Two Break Records at Winthrop Spring Invitational
Rock Hill, S.C. - The Coker University men's track and field team completed competition at the Winthrop Spring Invitational on Saturday (Mar. 13). The Cobras had a strong showing placing in several events and breaking two school records.

Freshman Austin Bates broke the Coker school record for the 2k Steeplechase, running a 6:53.43 and placing third in the event.
Junior Mahlique Andrews also broke the Coker record for the 1000m event. Andrews ran a 2:42.03 and placed fifth.
Jerimil German placed fourth in the 100m finals with a time of 10.95.
In the 200m finals, Kristoffer Persen placed fourth with a time of 22.45
In the 400m hurdles, Seraphin Kibonge would place second with a time of 56.42 and Trevon Campbell placed third in 57.47.
Davion Sebree, Sage Lilly, Persen and German placed second in the 4x100 relay with a time of 41.72.
Luke Baker took the pole vault title with a mark of 3.53m. Baker would place third in the javelin throw with a mark of 35.41.
Murishi Irankunda took the javelin throw title with a mark of 41.14m. Irankunda also placed third in the triple jump with a mark of 13.32m
