
Cobras Record Six Top Tens on Day One of Weems Baskin Invitational
The Coker College men's track and field team competed in the Weems Baskin Invitational.
COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Coker College men's track and field team finished day one (Mar. 24) of the Weems Baskin Invitational with six top-ten showings.
Luke Elliot finished fourth in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:47.37.
In the 4 x 800-meter relay, the team of Brandon Mullins, Luke Elliot, Razzel Kiplaget and Will Mosley finished in sixth with a school-record time of 8:09.05.
Marcus Bryant and Zafir Abdus-Salaam each finished in the top-ten of group B in the long jump. Bryant's leap of 22' 3.5" is a new Coker record, while Abdus-Salaam's top leap was 21' 10"
In group B of the javelin throw, Kiplaget's toss of 134' 7" is a new school record and was good enough for a sixth-place showing. Kace Faulkner finished in eighth with a 115' 10" toss.
The Cobras will be back in action tomorrow (Mar. 25) for the final day of the Weems Baskin Invitational.
