HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The 2017 South Atlantic Conference Softball Championship Tournament is set go begin on Thursday (Apr. 27) at 10 a.m. and run through Sunday (Apr. 30) at Byerly Park in Hartsville, S.C. The double-elimination tournament features the top-eight seeds in the SAC, led by the No. 1 seed, Carson-Newman University.

Game one will begin at 10 a.m. and will feature the No. 3 seed Newberry College Wolves and the No. 6 seed Wingate University Bulldogs. Newberry finished the season with a 14-6 mark in SAC play, while Wingate finished an even 10-10.

Game two is slated for a 12:30 p.m. start and will feature the No. 2 seed Lenoir-Rhyne University Bears and the No. 7 seed Tusculum College Pioneers. Lenoir-Rhyne finished SAC play with a 16-4 record, while the Pioneers finished 10-10 in conference play.

Game three will begin at 3 p.m. and will see the top-seeded Carson-Newman University Eagles take on the eighth-seeded Queens University of Charlotte Royals. Carson-Newman comes in with a 16-4 record in SAC play, while Queens finished the regular season at 6-14 in conference play.

The final game one day one will begin at 5:30 p.m. It will see the fourth-seeded Coker College Cobras take on the fifth-seeded Anderson-University Trojans. The Cobras finished the season with a 13-7 mark in SAC play, while the Trojans come in at 12-8. 

All games will be played at Byerly Park in Hartsville, S.C. with live stats and broadcast available at www.cokercobras.com.

All-session tickets will be available on Thursday only. Those tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for college students (with ID), youth under 12, seniors (60+) and active or retired military.

Single day tickets are available all four days of the event. Those tickets will be $8 for adults and $4 for college students (with ID), youth under 12, seniors (60+) and active or retired military.
