Allison Stack Named Volleyball Coach at Coker College

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker College vice president of athletics and facilities Lynn Griffin announced today that Allison Stack has been appointed as head men's and women's volleyball coach. She begins April 29.

"Allison is an excellent leader with experience and success with both men's and women's volleyball," Griffin said. "She has proven she has the recruiting ability to take teams to the NCAA tournament. Cobra fans have good reason to be excited."

Stack joins Coker after serving as head men's and women's volleyball coach for seven years at Baruch College in New York City. She compiled a record of 148-101 with the women along with a 149-73 mark on the men's side. Stack's teams won a combined six City University of New York Athletic conference championships – four by the men, two by the women. She's taken the women to two NCAA tournaments and the men to the Molten Final Four and an NCAA Elite Eight appearance.

"I am thrilled and honored to become the new coach for the men's and women's volleyball programs at Coker College," Stack said. "It's an exciting time to be part of a school that is growing and aggressively pursuing excellence in the classroom and on the court. The teams have a solid foundation, and it's my goal to help lead them to the next level of regional and national recognition. I was fortunate to have success at Baruch with both the men's and women's teams, and my plan is to reach and surpass those same goals at Coker."

In addition to her coaching duties at Baruch, Stack also served as assistant athletic director of compliance and student academic services. Prior to her time at Baruch, Stack was assistant director of facilities and operations at Columbia University. Before that she was managing director of the Long Island Volleyball Association.

Stack holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Bryant College and a Master of Arts degree in education from Adelphi University. She was also an adjust professor at Adelphi.

Stack will relocate to Hartsville with her husband, Justin, and two children, Logan, 3, and Zoey, 1.
