Trojans Best Coker in 3-0 Match

MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – Freshman Luke Hansen led the Cobras in kills for the second straight match after throwing down 10 in the Coker men's volleyball 3-0 loss to Mount Olive on Tuesday (Jan. 29) night.

Coker struggled to find their rhythm early and the Trojans took control of the first two matches, 25-11 and 25-14.  The Cobras then battled in a tough 25-18 third set that again fell in favor of Mount Olive.

Joining Hansen in the kill's category for the Cobras was Christopher Gbelay with four, and Luke Grupe with three.  Ricardo Ferrer had a team high 16-assists and one block on the night.

The Cobras will continue their road quest as they travel to King University on Friday (Feb.), to face the Tornado in a Conference Carolinas match.  The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start time.
