Coker Takes 28th in Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational
Myrtle Beach, SC: The Cobras take 28th in the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational out of 31 teams. The Cobras scored 4.5 points over the 3-day event.
TOP PERFORMERS:
Donovan Jones: 6th place in the 100m earning the Cobras 3 points.
Michael Wilson: 7th place in the High Jump earning the Cobras 1.5 points.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Coker started their day off with the 100m Prelims. Donovan Jones qualified for the finals after he took 8th place with a final time of 10.75s
- In the final, Jones finished 6th overall with a final time of 10.51s, which gave the Cobras their first 3 points in the competition.
- In the 400m open Jeffrey Stiles led the Cobras with a 5th-place finish and a final time of 50.73s.
- Newcomer Daniel Burton competed in the men's open high jump, taking 2nd place with a final height of 1.9m.
- In the High Jump Collegiate competition, Michael Wilson took 7th place overall scoring the Cobras 1.5 points with a final height of 1.9m.
- Tyriq Gause led the Cobras in the Long Jump taking 20th place with a final distance of 6.28m.

The Cobras will be heading to the Davidson Relays next. This meet will take place on March 29th.
