Cobras Drop Non-Conference Tilt with Belmont Abbey
Coker fell in a hard-fought match at home on Saturday.

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- Coker men's tennis dropped a tough 5-4 match to visiting Belmont Abbey on Saturday (Mar. 4).
The Crusaders led 2-1 after doubles play, with Simon Bergbom and Felix Schweyer winning 8-2 at No. 2.
Mark Watt opened up singles play with a straight sets 6-4, 6-4 win. Schweyer picked up another singles win at No. 3, winning in straight sets 7-6, 6-3. Hunter Horton earned the three-set 1-6, 6-2, 7-5 win at No. 4 to get the Cobras within one of clinching the match. The Crusaders won the final two singles contests to seal the match.
The Cobras get back into conference play next Saturday (Mar. 11) when they host Carson-Newman for a 2:00 p.m. start.
