
Cobras Host Belmont Abbey in Non-Conference Tilt Saturday
Coker looks to pick up another regional win on Saturday.

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- Coker men's tennis will take on Belmont Abbey in non-conference action on Saturday (Mar. 4).
The Cobras last played on Sunday (Feb. 26) and fell to Pfeiffer 5-4 in a hard fought match. The Cobras led 2-1 after doubles play, with Henrik Hellbe and Hunter Horton winning 9-8 at No. 1. Felix Schweyer and Walker Long earned the 8-5 win at No. 3.
Mark Watt put Coker in a good spot with a 0-6, 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 1, before Pfeiffer would go on a run and clinch the match. Long would win at No. 6 in straight sets 6-1, 7-5 for the Cobras.
On the year, Watt leads the Cobras (7-3, 1-1 SAC) in singles play with a 9-1 record at No. 1. In doubles play, Hellbe and Horton lead the Cobras with an 8-2 mark.
Belmont Abbey comes into the match 6-5 and 1-1 in Conference Carolinas. Chip Moore is a perfect 6-0 in singles play, while the Crusaders have two doubles pairs with identical 2-1 records.
The match is slated for a 2:00 p.m. start at the Coker tennis courts.
