Cobras Drop SAC Match to Bears

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's soccer team fell 4-0 to the visiting Lenoir-Rhyne University Bears on Wednesday (Oct. 19) evening in a South Atlantic Conference matchup.

The Bears found the back of the net in the 41st minute to take a 1-0 lead and would hold that lead as the two teams departed for halftime.

Lenoir-Rhyne would add three more goals in the opening nine minutes of the second half to build a 4-0 lead.

Mads Aagurd and Connor Norton-Baker led the way, each firing two shots on goal. Christian Amtoft and Aladdin Elfares each added one shot on goal for the Navy and Gold. Michael Ritterbeck collected seven saves in goal.

The Cobras will be back in action on Saturday (Oct. 22) to take on the visiting Queens University of Charlotte Royals. Saturday's match will also be senior day; opening kick is set for 7 p.m.
