Coker Ready to Host Flagler in Non-Conference Match

HARSTVILLE, S.C. – The Cobras men's soccer team is set to play the Flagler Saints on Wednesday (Oct. 30) in a non-conference matchup. The game will be broadcast live at www.cokercobras.com.

Coker (7-5-2, 5-4-1 SAC) is coming off a 1-0 win against Tusculum on Sunday (Oct. 27). Stephen Scrivens scored the lone goal, his third of the season, for the Cobras in the 73rd minute to earn the victory. Daniel Jackson leads the team with nine goals, while Jordan Snell leads the Cobras in assists with four.

Flagler is 8-3-3 overall and 5-2-2 in the Peach Belt Conference. The Saints last game ended in a 1-1 tie against North Georgia. Zach Shanahan and Marco Warren lead Flagler in both goals and assists, with seven goals and four assists each.

The non-conference game will begin at 4 p.m. on the Coker Soccer Field. Tickets will be $3 for students, $5 for adults, and free for all Coker students, faculty, and staff.

Coker will also be hosting Pause for Paws night during the game. All proceeds from the night will go do the Darlington County Humane Society and there will be a special Halloween costume contest during halftime. All fans are encouraged to come dressed in their best family friendly Halloween costume.
