Marciano Earns Academic All-Conference Nod

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker College men's lacrosse player Steve Marciano has been named to the Conference Carolinas Academic All-Conference team, the league office announced today.

Marciano, a senior, is a business administration major with a minor in international studies at Coker. He is a member of Coker's Enactus team and serves on the Student Athletic Advisory Committee. On the field he has five goals and three assists in 13 games played.

Originally from Shirley, N.Y., Marciano is the son of Frank and Janice Marciano.

The Coker men's lacrosse team returns to action Wednesday with a home contest against Young Harris College.

Conference Carolinas academic all-conference teams are awarded to junior and senior student-athletes with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.25 or higher on a 4.0 scale in all work completed at their member institution that have played in a conference-sponsored sport. The GPA is calculated based on the student-athletes' cumulative GPA through the previous semester and each student-athlete must have attended their member institution for at least one academic year.
