"The guys played well today. We particularly had great starts in both rounds going 3-under through our first six holes in the first round before shooting a 9-over 297. We really got it rockin' and rollin' in the second round and played the way that we've been talking about that we know we can all year and had it 12-under par through 14 holes, which was the best score on the course. We did drop some shots down the stretch but we still posted the lowest team round in several years for the school at 5-under 283, said John Hackney"

"Killian Ryan had a good first round at 74 and then put together a spectacular second round, shooting a 6- under 66 with 6 birdies and one eagle. He is tied for fourth place, just four shots off the lead."

"Jonathan Hallinger, who missed most of the fall with an injury, had a mediocre first round, shooting 78, but bounced back with a stellar 68 in the second round with six birdies. Caleb Tidd hit the ball well all day and posted rounds of 72 and 74, carding five birdies overall. He was just victimized by the par 5, 7th hole, where he made two double bogeys."

"As a team, we made nine birdies in the first round and then ripped it up with 20 birdies and an eagle in the second round, which bodes well for the Cobras as we try to catch the leaders tomorrow in the final round. We proved today that when we get it going we're as good as anybody in the country, so our plan is to go really deep tomorrow and make a run at the title. We're currently 10 shots back of 1st place Carson- Newman in a field full of highly ranked teams so we're excited to see what we can do!"

Coker is back in action tomorrow at 8:00 a.m. with a shotgun start for round three. Live coverage can be found at www.cokercobras.com
