Coker Men's Golf Finishes Strong At Hurricane Invitational

Albany, Ga. – The Coker University men's golf team completed the third round of play in the Hurricane Invitational at the Doublegate Country Club on Tuesday (Feb. 25). The Cobras finished ninth place as a team, shooting 877 (+13).

Fred Tindale and Coleman Bess led the Cobras, as they each shot a 217 (+1) for the invitational. Tindale finished strong in round three, shooting two under par (70), while Bess' best score came in round two when he finished one under par (71). Killian Ryan shot a 226 (+7) for the tournament, with two under par (70) being his best score in round two.

Nick Waller was just two strokes behind Ryan at 224 (+8), ending the invitational on a good note in round three (74, +2). Nicholas Beiers also did well, shooting a 76 (+4). JJ Cots completed his first collegiate tournament with the Cobras, performing well in round two with a card of 73 (+1).

"I was pleased with our effort this week," said coach Sam Stark. "We have a quick turnaround until our next event, so we will have to refocus quickly."

The Cobras will be back in action on Monday (Mar. 2) when they travel to Greenville, S.C. for the Southern Tide Intercollegiate. Live results can be found at www.cokercobras.com.
