St. Augustine, Florida – The Coker University men's golf team started day one of their first tournament of the season on Monday (Feb. 10) at the 2020 Spring Kick-Off Intercollegiate at the St. John's Golf & Country Club.

Through two rounds of play, Coleman Bess leads the Cobras as he shot a 150 (+6). Bess had a dominant performance in round two, shooting one under par with three birdies. Killian Ryan was just one stroke behind at 151 (+7). Ryan also shot well in round two, finishing two over par (74) with three birdies of his own.

Fred Tindale shot a 158 (+14), Nick Waller with a total of 162 (+18), and Nicholas Beiers finishing with a 165 (+21). Tindale led the team with four birdies through the two rounds of golf. Waller and Beiers both did well on the front nine in round two, shooting a 39 (+3).

The Cobras will be back in action on Tuesday (Feb. 11) for round three of the 2020 Spring-Kickoff. Tee time is set for 8:30 a.m., a shotgun start. Live results can be found at www.cokercobras.com.
