Cobras Take Home Top Five Finish at Magnolia Invitational

ORANGEBURG, S.C. – Three Cobra golfers finished in the top 20 individually at the 2012 Magnolia Invitational on the par-71 Orangeburg Country Club on Tuesday. As a team the Coker men finished fifth.

Christopher Fuga (Phoenixville, Pa.) finished the tournament tied for 15th at seven-over-par, while Jake Murphy (Hamilton, N.J.) and Josh Clay (Stark County, Ohio) each finished in a tie for 20th at  +11.  Luke Coates (Florence, S.C.) carded a 73 in the final round, finishing in a tie for 30th and Matt Kreider (Westlake, Ohio) shot an 80 on the last day finishing in a tie for 40th.

UNC Pembroke took home the team championship, with USC-Aiken placing second. Barton College finished third and Newberry College was fourth.

The Cobras will hit the links again on March 19 when they travel to Wilson, N.C. for the Bulldog Invitational hosted by Barton College.
