SAVANNAH, Ga.- The Coker men’s golf team finished sixth after shooting a third round team total of 299 (+19) in the final round of the 2011 Armstrong Atlantic University Pirate Invitational.

Flagler College captured first place honors, while Armstrong Atlantic finished second and UNC Pembroke came in third.

Individually, Jake Murphy (Hamilton, N.J.) finished in fifth place after shooting a two over 72 in the third round, while Ben Conroy (Durham, Conn.) came in at 16th place with a five over 75 in the third round. Rounding out the field for the Cobras were Jared Crane (Greenville, S.C.) with a three over 73, Josh Rogers (Lexington, S.C.) with a nine over 79 and Diego Polo (Guatemala City, Guatemala) shot a 12 over 82.

The Cobras will head back to the links on March 1-2 at the Golfweek Invitational in Orlando, Fla.  where they will tee it up against some of the top NCAA Division II competition in the country.
