REUNION, Fla. – Three of the five Coker golfers shot 73 (+1) in Monday’s second round of the Golfweek Division II Invitational at the Independence Golf Course in Reunion, Fla. On the day, the Cobras shot a team score of 293 (+5), the second lowest team score of the day, giving them a two day total of 599 (+23). With their much improved play, the Cobras are just 10 strokes back of the leader, Nova Southeastern 589 (+13), with one round left still left to play on Tuesday.

Jake Murphy (Hamilton, N.J.) continues to lead the way, shooting another 73, moving him to a two round total of 146 (+2) and a tie for eighth place. Ben Conroy (Durham, Conn.) is just three shots back of Murphy at 149 (+5), after shooting 73 in the second round, and Jay Goldenberg (Toronto, Ontario) was the third Cobra to shoot 73, improving his two round total to 152 (+8). Seniors Chris Marsh (Georgetown, S.C.) and Jimmy Gillam (Tyrone, Pa.) are just one stroke apart with Marsh at 156 (+12) and Gillam at 157 (+13).
