Hamilton, Ga. – The #21 ranked Cobra Golf team had a tough outing on Tuesday in their final round of the State Farm-Laker Invitational hosted by Clayton State at Crystal Lake Golf and Country Club. Coker shot 296 (+8) in the second round to finish with a two round total of 588 (+12), placing them in 13th place for the tournament. Newberry College was the champion followed by Georgia College and State in second and Barry University in third.

Leading the Cobras was senior Chris Marsh (Georgetown, S.C.) with an even par, 144 performance in the two round event. Marsh was followed by freshman Jacob Murphy (Hamilton, N.J.) with a 145 (+1). Murphy also posted the low score of the day for Coker, a one under 71. Rounding out the Cobra golfers were John LaDow (Pottstown, Pa.) with a 147 (+3), Jared Crane (Greenville, S.C.) with a 152 (+8) and Patrick Kirby (Paris, Ontario) with a 156 (+12).

The Cobras will take a much needed break for a couple of weeks before returning to the links on Oct. 12-13, when they host the Coker College Invitational at the Hartsville Country Club.
