High Point, N.C.> Coker College’s Chris Marsh has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas men's golf Player of the Month during the month of September.  

Chris Marsh defeated J.P. Solis of USC-Aiken in a sudden death playoff, to take home medalist honors at the 2008 Kiawah Island Invitational hosted by USC-Aiken. In addition to his medalist honors, Marsh set the course record at the Cougar Point Golf Course at Kiawah, with his first round 64. In his next tournament Marsh ended with a tenth place finish at the Coker College Invitational, posting an even par, 144, for the tournament. In his four rounds of golf in the month of September, Marsh shot under par in three of them, posting a 69.25 stroke average for the month. The junior from Georgetown, SC also was the team leader for the Cobras, helping them capture second and third place finishes in their respective tournaments.
