Milledgeville, Ga. – In the first round of play at the Bobcat Invitational Golf Tournament, the Coker Cobras are placed 15th out of 17 teams. The Cobras shot a combined 320 (+40) as a team leaving them 29 strokes off of leader West Florida (291). Coker is leading out of the Conference Carolinas schools present at the tournament, with Belmont Abbey in 16th place and Pfeiffer in 17th.

Leading the Cobras individually is Trey Bridwell (Greer, SC) with an eight over 78, followed by Jimmy Gillam (Tyrone, PA) with a nine over 79. Chris Marsh shot an 81 (+11), while Patrick Kirby (Paris, Ontario) shot an 82 (+12), with Stephen Thomson (Bracebridge, Ontario) also shooting 82 (+12).

The Cobras will look to improve in the second round of action on Tuesday, at the Cuscowilla Golf Club on Lake Oconee in Eatonton, Ga.
