Vass, N.C. – The Coker Cobras Golf Team dropped 17 strokes from their first day of play, to capture the St. Andrews Spring Invitational championship at Woodlake Resort & Golf Club. The Cobras finished day two with a score of 296 (+8), giving them a two day total of 609 (+33), giving them a slight one stroke advantage over Fayetteville State 610 (+34).
Chris Marsh (Georgetown, SC) and Stephen Thompson (Bracebridge, Ontario) led the way for Coker, as they each shot even par 72 for the day, tying them for 5th place overall, 152 (+8). Jay Goldenberg (Toronto, Ontario) finished in seventh 153 (+9), while Jimmy Gillam (Tyrone, Pa) tied for eighth with a score of 154 (+10) and Trey Bridwell (Greer, SC) finished in a tie for 28th with a score of 162 (+18).
Coker returns to the links on March 17, as they travel to Valdosta State.
