Savannah, Ga. - In their first tournament under the leadership of Head Coach Tommy Baker, the Coker Golf Team placed third at the AASU/Southbridge Pirate Invitational on Tuesday. As a team the Cobra golfers shot a two day total of 590 (+14), finishing behind tournament champion, Clayton State 581 (+5) and Georgia College & State 584 (+8).

Chris Marsh (Georgetown, SC) and Jay Goldenberg (Toronto, Ontario) led the Cobras, as they both shot 144 (E) in the two day event tying them for sixth place overall, while Jimmy Gillam (Tyrone, PA) shot 149 (+5) finishing in 16th place. Rounding out the field for Coker were Stephen Thomson (Bracebridge, Ontario) with a 155 (+11) and John LaDow (Pottstown, PA) with a 157 (+13).

The Cobras return to the links on Monday, March 3, as they travel to Laurinburg, NC, for the St. Andrews Presbyterian Invitational.
