Savannah, GA- The Cobra Golf Team fell to sixth place in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional Golf Tournament on Tuesday afternoon. As a team Coker dropped seven shots from their first round total, shooting a 327, but they still fell two spots with a total score of 661 (+85) after two rounds.

 

Freshman Chris Marsh is leading the Cobras with a 15 over 159, putting him in solely eighth place. Fellow classmate Jimmy Gillam is next in 12th place with an 18 over 162, followed by Jay Goldenberg and Blaine Rogers at 28 over, 172. Rounding out the field for Coker is Stephen Frisch with a 35 over 179.

 

Coker will complete the third and final round of the Atlantic Regional on Wednesday at the Savannah Quarters Country Club. The champions from the Southeast and the Atlantic region will advance to the 2007 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships in Allendale, Mich., on May 22-25 - as well as the next three lowest schools, regardless of region.
