Winston Salem, NC- With the first round of the 2007 CVAC Golf Tournament complete the Cobras of Coker College are in seventh place with a score of 305 (+21). Coker is the defending CVAC Champion, winning the 2006 tournament at the Hartsville Country Club. This year’s tournament is being held at the Salem Golf Club in Winston Salem, NC.

Leading the Cobras is All-CVAC Honorable Mention selection, Chris Marsh. Marsh is in ninth place with a first round score of 72 (+1). Blaine Rogers and Jimmy Gillam are just a few strokes back, tied for 17^th, with scores of 75 (+4). Rounding out the Cobras five man team are Stephen Frisch 83 (+12) and Jay Goldenberg 85 (+14).

The Cobras will continue the tournament and look to reclaim the CVAC title on Monday. Teams will begin to tee off at 8:00 a.m.
