Concord, NC- Blaine Rogers sank an eight foot birdie putt on the first hole of a sudden death playoff with Pfeiffer University, giving Coker a hole stoke victory over the Falcons in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional. With the win the Cobras advance to the National Championship Tournament at the Glade Springs Resort in Daniels, West Virginia, May 16-19.

Vincent Dumouchel led the Cobras in the final round of play, finishing in second place over all with a three round total of 219 (+3). Rogers finished tied for fourth with a score of 222 (+6), while Gary Morgan and Johary Raveloarison each finished tied for 14^th at 229 (+14). Benoit Gordon ended with a three day total of 239 (+23).

As a team the Cobras shot a three day total of 898, tying them for first place with Pfeiffer University. Coker finished the Super Regional in second place behind USC-Aiken (875).

Along with Coker, three other Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference teams will be represented at the National Championships. Pfeiffer University and Barton College each qualified as teams for the tournament and Dion Sirrianni of Lees-McRae College will compete as an individual. Two teams from the Southeast Regional also qualified for the National Championship, USC-Aiken and Columbus State.

This marks the first time Coker has qualified for the National Championships as a team. The last time a Cobra went to the National Championship was in 2003 when Chris Taylor competed as an individual.
