HARTSVILLE, SC – Coker improved by 10 strokes on day two of the Presbyterian College Intercollegiate to finish third overall against solid competition.  USC-Aiken, last year’s Division II National Champions, won the event with a two-day total of 285-294-579.

Sophomore Vincent Dumouchel/Candiac, Quebec led the charge on Tuesday with a team low round of 73. He finished 21st in the event with a 78-73-151.  Classmate Brad Wissmueller/Wausau, WI led the Cobras with a 74-74-148 to tie for 11th overall. 

Sophomore Louis-Pierre Godin/Champlain, Quebec shot a 74-75-149 to tie for 14th and Hartsville’s  Jeffery Johnson improved on day two with an 83-75-158 to tie for 50th.  Freshman Andrew Howard/Gainesville, FL tied for 69th with a total of 81-85-166.

In second place at the tournament was Georgia College and State University with a consistent 297-296-593, and following the Cobras in the top-five were Armstrong Atlantic State (293-313-606) and CVAC rival Pfeiffer University (310-298-608).  Francis Marion also showed improvement on the second day with a 309-300-609 to place sixth overall.

Coker plays its final tournament of the Fall season this Sunday and Monday, October 17 and 18, at the Nova Southeastern/Unicco Fall Invitational in Tamarac, FL.
