Men’s Basketball Takes on #9 Lincoln Memorial

Harrogate, TN- The Coker Basketball team headed to Tennessee to take on nationally ranked Lincoln Memorial in a South Atlantic Conference Quarterfinals playoff game Wednesday evening. Coker comes into the game finishing the season averaging 73.5 points per game while LMU is coming in at 88.4. The Cobras are looking towards the speedy guards to help throughout the game as Jordan Jones and Tate Mulkey finished the season averaging 14.5 and 12.4 points per game.  Coker went on to drop the game (100-73) in a tough forty-minute battle.

Coker played a well compose game for the team's first appearance in a few years. The Cobras fought hard throughout the game but Lincoln Memorial's game plan was just spotless. Led by Jordan Jones who put the team on his back and scored a career-high of 30 points kept the team in the hunt throughout the game. Coker put a solid 14 points up from within the paint. Jamie Muldowney hit 2 from the three-point line as well as had nine points during the game. Tate Mulkey, Mahmoud Bangura, Marvin Brumfield, and Ian Blue all combine for 21 points as they each had seven on the night.
