Cobras Begin Second Half of SAC Play with LMU

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's basketball team will play game three of a three-game homestand on Saturday (Jan. 21) at 4 p.m. when they host the visiting Lincoln Memorial University Railsplitters in a South Atlantic Conference matchup. JaQuez Motley continues to be the primary scoring threat for the Navy and Gold, averaging 13.9 points per game. The senior guard has recorded double-digit points in seven of his last eight games and scored 15 points when the two sides met on Dec. 3. Jake Barrett is averaging 11.6 points per game, including nearly 15 points on average in Coker's wins. Nathan Lemke enters Saturday's contest averaging 9.4 points and 7.4 rebounds per game. He ranks tenth in the SAC in field-goal percentage, shooting 53.9 percent from the field.

As a team, the Cobras continue to excel on the offensive glass, pulling down a South Atlantic Conference-high 14.5 offensive boards per game.

LMU travels to Hartsville with a 13-4 overall record and a 8-3 mark in SAC play, while winning its last three games. Six players are averaging over double figures for the Railsplitters, with Chris Perry averaging 17 points and nearly eight rebounds per game, while leading the SAC in field goal percentage (68 %).

Opening tip is set for 4 p.m. on Saturday (Jan. 21) at the DeLoach Center. Tickets for the game are $5 for adults, $3 for students and free to all Coker faculty, staff and students.
