Cobras and Saints Square Off in Non-Conference Matchup

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's basketball team (4-3) will return to the friendly confines of the DeLoach Center on Tuesday (Dec. 6) at 7 p.m. to take on the visiting Limestone College Saints for a non-conference matchup. Live stats and video can be found at www.cokercobras.com.

The two sides met back on Nov. 16, with Limestone picking up the 76-75 win over the Cobras. Coker is looking to improve a 3-2 record in non-conference play this season and a 3-1 record versus Limestone since moving to the South Atlantic Conference.

JaQuez Motley leads the double-digit scoring trio for the Navy and Gold, averaging 14 points per game. Jake Barrett and Miguel Priest are averaging 12.3 and 11.4 points per game, while pulling down 4.6 and 7.4 rebounds per contest. As a team, the Cobras continue to be active on the glass, leading the SAC with 16.9 offensive rebounds per game and ranking third with 41.1 rebounds per contest. Coker also ranks second in steals, averaging 11.6 steals per contest.

The Saints travel to Hartsville with a 6-1 overall record and a 2-0 mark on Conference Carolinas action. The duo of Shaq Dance and Shaun Stewart lead the way, averaging 19.1 and 18.4 points per game.

Opening tip is set for 7 p.m. with the doors of the DeLoach Center opening at 6 p.m. Tickets for the game are $5 for adults, $3 for students and free to all Coker faculty, staff and students.
