Cobras Eyeing 3-0 Start in Home Opener Against Limestone

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's basketball team (2-0) will be back in action on Wednesday (Nov. 18) at 8 p.m. to take on the visiting Limestone College Saints in their 2015-16 home opener. Live stats and video can be found at www.cokercobras.com.

The Navy and Gold are coming off wins over North Greenville and Erskine in the SAC/Conference Carolinas Challenge and will look for continued success inside the friendly confines of the DeLoach Center, after posting an 8-5 mark last season.

The Cobras are led by the trio of Aubrey Daniel, Donte Samuels and Jake Barrett. Daniel poured in 14 points in the Cobras win over Erskine, while Samuels and Barrett are averaging 12.5 and 11 points per game. In the paint, Trey James is coming off back-to-back eight-point games and a 14-rebound effort against Erskine.

The Saints (1-1) are coming off an 86-82 win over Mars Hill University. They are led by a quartet of double-digit scorers, headlined by Shaq Dance and his 18.5 points per game.

Tip-off is set for 8:00 p.m. at the DeLoach Center. Tickets are $15 dollars for reserved seats, $5 dollars for adults, $3 dollars for students, and free for all Coker students, faculty and staff.. It will be Sonoco Night at the DeLoach Center as Coker welcomes all Sonoco employees and their families to join them for a fun night of basketball.
