Cobras Hoping to Cage the Bulldogs

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker men's basketball team returns to the friendly confines of the Timberlake-Lawton Gymnasium on Wednesday (Feb. 6) when it hosts the Bulldogs of Barton College in a Conference Carolinas game. Live coverage of the game is available online at www.cokercobras.com.

The Cobras are fresh off a 61-51 win over Erskine on Saturday (Feb. 2) on the road, and they are looking to improve on their 6-2 record at home. Led by Julian Nelson and his 17.7 points per game, Coker will be looking to avenge a 78-60 loss to Barton back on Jan. 8.

The Bulldogs (14-4, 9-3) are ranked No. 12 nationally and are led by Gerald Boston and his 19.6 points per game. Barton has lost their last two games in a row, falling to Mount Olive (80-75) and King (94-88). Three of their four losses this season have come on the road.

Wednesday night's game is also First Responders night.  First response personnel such as fire, police, and emergency medical service workers are invited to the men's and women's basketball games and will receive free admission.  The women begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by the men's game at 7:30 p.m.
