Anderson, SC- After a stellar victory at home on Saturday, the Coker men’s basketball team was unable to pick-up a win on the road, as the Cobras fell to the Trojans of Anderson University 72-69 on Monday night. The loss drops the Cobras to a 6-13 overall record, and a 4-8 Conference Carolinas record, while Anderson improves to 7-11 overall, and 5-6 in the conference.

Coker’s Mason Ambler (Atlanta, GA) was the Cobras leading scorer with 17 points and six rebounds, while Josh Poston (Myrtle Beach, SC) had 13 points, six rebounds and three assists. Lukas Varga (Pawleys Island, SC) netted 11 points, while dishing out five assists.

Brandon Young was the game high scorer with 22 points for the Trojans and six rebounds, while Kevis Cornwell put up 15 points, while pulling down five rebounds. Also scoring in double figures was Stephen Cobb with 10 points and six rebounds.

The Cobras return the court on Thursday, as they travel to Wilson, NC, to face defending NCAA Division II National Champion Barton College. Tip-off is at 7:30 p.m.
