Hartsville, SC- With 17 assists as a team and four players in double figures, the Cobra men’s basketball team evened their Conference Carolinas record at 2-2 with an 83-53 win over the Limestone Saints on Saturday afternoon in collegiate men’s basketball. The win improves Coker to 4-6 overall and 2-2 in the conference, while Limestone falls to 2-6 overall, and 0-3 in the conference.

The Cobras played a fast paced high powered offense from the very beginning, converting 22 Limestone turnovers into 20 points. Coker’s bench was very instrumental in the victory, with 50 points coming off the bench.

Coker was led by Lukas Varga (Pawleys Island, SC) with his 22 points off the bench, while Mason Ambler (Atlanta, GA), Stevie Evans (Columbia, SC) and Josh Poston (Myrtle Beach, SC) each scored 10 points for the Cobras. Ambler pulled down four rebounds, while Evans gave out five assists in the game.

For the Saints, Marques Williams had 19 points, while Andrea Franklin had 11 points and seven rebounds in the game.

Coker returns to the floor on Monday, as they host the Flying Fleet of Erskine College at 7:30 p.m., while Limestone’s next game comes on Wednesday, as they host Anderson at 7:30 p.m.
