SUMTER, SC – Coker knocked off Morris College for the second time this year by a score of 68-51 Monday night in men’s basketball.  CC improves to 2-3 overall while the Hornets fall to 1-5.

The Cobras took a 36-23 lead into the half by limiting Morris to 29 percent shooting while firing at a 50 percent rate themselves.  Coker connected on 14 of 28 attempts in both halves and crashed the boards for 43 rebounds to overcome 24 turnovers in the game.

Senior Michael Pierce/Whiteville, NC led CC with 16 points, six rebounds and four assists, and junior Jason Fulwood/Cumming, GA connected for 14 points.  Senior Jay Farrow/Sanford, NC had 12 points and sophomore Abram Ludd/Sumter, SC, in a homecoming of sorts, tallied nine points and a game-high 12 rebounds.

Antron Franklin scored 16 and grabbed six boards for the Hornets and Raymond Parks finished with 13 points.  Joseph Hayward totaled nine points.

Coker will now travel to Coastal Carolina on Sunday, December 12, for a 3:30 PM contest against the Chanticleers.
