Britt Kabo and Lieke Bruijn Named NFHCA Division II Scholars of Distinction

BROCKPORT, N.Y. - Coker University field hockey players Britt Kabo and Lieke Bruijn were named Division II Scholars of Distinction by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA), announced by the organization today (Wednesday, Mar. 24).

The award is given to student-athletes who maintain a grade point average of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the academic year. Kabo and Bruijn were two of 20 within South Atlantic Conference Carolinas student-athletes and more than 140 Division II student-athletes to earn the honor. 

This is Kabo's second career Scholar of Distinction honor. The Maarssen, Netherlands native is the daughter of Kris and Natacha Kabo, and is a business administration major.

This is Bruijn's first career Scholar of Distinction honor. The Naarden, Netherlands native is the daughter of Bart Bruijn and Annett Bosch, and is a business administration major.
