Esports Falls to Northwood in Philly Esports Collegiate Valorant Showdown

HARTSVILLE, S.C. - Coker University Esports lost a hard-fought game against #1 seed Northwood University with a score of 2-0 in the game of Valorant Thursday night (Nov. 4).

Northwood took the first game 13-3 on the map of Ascent, and the second game 13-3 on the map of Haven. Coker came out swinging with aggressive site takes and making strong picks to make the rounds very competitive. Northwood was able to clutch the game with strong individual performances.

Devon Chapman led the Cobra's with 18 kills and placed 2nd on the lobby leaderboard. Though this loss ended the Cobras' tournament run, coach Logan Henderson said, "it shows a monumental step for the Valorant Esports team as they gained massive individual performances and clutches, showing their growth as a team."
