Coker Esports Falls to the University of Alabama and Michigan State University in the Final Week of Tespa

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Coker University Esports team took on the University of Alabama and Michigan State University in their last week of the Tespa Open Division on Sunday (Nov. 15).

The first map against Alabama was Ilios, and the fight started off the point. After a back and forth battle Alabama was able to take the point, keep it, and win the first round. The second round was similar to the first as Alabama took the 1-0 game lead. The second map was Dorado, and Coker was able to push the cart forward past the first point. They did run into trouble just short of the second point as Alabama was able to hold their ground. Alabama was then able to push past the Cobras to win the match 2-0.

The Cobras faced Michigan State in the second match of the night, and the match started on Ilios. In the first round Coker was able to get to the point first but was quickly pushed off by Michigan State who kept it until the end. In the second round Michigan State took the point first, but Coker was able to take it back soon after. After another fight MSU took the point back and held it to win the map. The second map was King's Row, and Coker was up to attack first. Coker was able to push past the defenses to unlock the payload and push it to the next objective. Michigan State was able to stop Coker from pushing all the way to the final point. Michigan State was then able to match Coker for the first two points and then were able to push past Coker's push to win the match 2-0.

The Cobras will be back in action on Monday (Nov. 16) when they compete in a Hearthstone Open Division Matchup at 7:00 P.M.
