HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Coker University Esports Hearthstone team took on Averett in week five of the Tespa Hearthstone Varsity Division on Tuesday (Oct. 27) with both teams fighting for a playoff spot.

Coker brought Gibbering Druid, Broom Paladin, and Face Hunter, and Averett brought Control Priest, Secret Rogue, and Small Spell Mage.  The first game was Coker's Gibbering Druid versus Averett's Secret Rogue. Coker's deck started off slow which allowed Averett to get some board lrescence and win the game. The second game was Coker's Gibbering Druid versus Averett's Control Priest, and Coker was able to go extremely fast and win the game on turn five. The third game was Coker's Broom Paladin versus Averett's Control Priest. Averett was able to keep Coker from keeping any big minions giving them a game three win. Game four was Averett's Small Spell Mage versus Coker's Broom Paladin. It was a back and forth battle, but Averett was able to push through with a clutch devolving missiles to win the match 3-1.

The Cobras will be back in action on Thursday (Oct.29) when they compete in the Hearthstone Open Division at 7:00 PM.
