Coker Esports Falls to Florida Southern in the NACE Overwatch Fall Cup

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Coker University Esports Overwatch team took on Florida Southern in the NACE Overwatch Fall Cup on Monday (Oct. 26).

The match started on Busan. Coker started off strong by capturing the point first and holding until 95 percent before Florida Southern took control. Coker was unable to take the point back giving the first round to Florida Southern. The second round Florida Southern took control first and never gave it up to win the first map. The second map was Junkertown, and Coker was up first to attack. Coker was able to push the payload early but got stopped just short of the second point. Florida Southern was then able to push past Coker's defense to take the second map. The third map was King's Row, and Coker was able to unlock the payload right off the bat. They were able to push all the way to just before the final point, but after multiple attempts were unable to capture it. Florida Southern was then able to push through to win the match 3-0.

The Cobras will be back in action on Tuesday (Oct.27) when they compete in the Hearthstone Varsity Division. Game time is slated for 7:00 P.M.
