Coker Esports Falls to Savannah College of Art and Design

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker University Esports team faced off against The Savannah College of Art and Design in week two of the Tespa Varsity Tournament.

The first map was Busan, and the first map was traded back and forth until Savannah College of Art and Design was able to hold it for the win. In the second map Coker was able to get ahead early and hold until 99 percent. While the Bees were able to get control of the point, Coker was able to rally back, win control of the point, and win the round. In the third round Savannah College of Art and Design got to the point first, and Coker was unable to take the control away, giving the Bees the first map. The second map was Dorado, and Coker was up to Attack first. The Bees were able to hold strong after the first choke point, stopping Coker before the first checkpoint. Coker was forced to stop the Bees at the same chokepoint, but Savannah College of Art and Design was able to push through to win the map and the match.

This loss puts the Overwatch team at 1-1 for the season. The Overwatch team will return this Tuesday at 8:15 PM against Murrary State.
