Coker University ESports Falls Short to Lander in Season Opener

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Coker University Esports team fell short in their opening match of the season to Lander University today (Jan. 31) by a score of 3-2. Today's match marked the start of an eight-week season that includes 15 games.

Coker was able to get the first win of the game with a comeback in the midgame. Coker was down by 4,000 in gold, but was able to turn it around with a couple of team fight going their way. In game two Lander was able to tie the score by earning an early lead and expanding it throughout the game. In game three Lander was able to repeat their performance from game two and take advantage of some early kills. This match gives Lander a win, while Coker goes to 0-1 in the season.

The Cobras will return this Sunday (Feb. 2) at 6:00 PM as they face off against Henderson State. Video will be available at www.cokercobras.com
