Coker Esports Falls to Clemson

HARTSVILLE, S.C. - The Coker University Cobras faced off against the Clemson Tigers in the final week of the Tespa Hearthstone Championships. Both teams came into this week with 5-1 records, with playoffs locked making this game the deciding factor on the seeding. 

The first matchup was Coker's Resurrect Priest versus Clemson's Evolve Shaman. Coker was able to get to turn seven with only losing three HP, but Clemson was able to get past Coker's defenses and swing for a staggering 27HP. The next match was Coker's Priest against Clemson's Tempo Rogue. Coker was unable to deal with the continuous pressure and loss the game taking the match to 2-0. The third game Coker again brought their Priest while Clemson brought their Secret Highlander Paladin. Clemson came out swinging, and Coker was unable to deal with the pressure, dropping the match 3-0. Coker ends their Fall season 5-2 and will be playing in the playoffs on Nov. 9. The games will start at 11:00 a.m. and there will be double elimination tournaments going on all day.
