Cobras Split in Week Four of Overwatch Preseason

HARTSVILLE, S.C. - Last night (Oct. 14) the Coker College esports team faced off against the University of Oklahoma and the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). With a 5-1 record, the Cobras came into this week rated 26th our of 269 teams. In the first game the Cobras started off slow, giving away a quick victory on Route 66. The following map was King's Row and although they started off slow again, the Navy and Gold were able to cap all three points and then prevent the Sooners from doing the same. The final map was a close one, but Oklahoma was able to gain the upper hand and win the third and final map.

The next matchup was against RIT who started the week ranked 24th. The Cobras started strong on Eichenwalde by pushing the cart to the end, and stopping the Tigers just short with the help of Madison Schmidt who was able to hit a sleep dart onto an ulting McCree. Coker was then able to take the match on Nepal in a back and forth battle.

The Cobras will return next Sunday (Oct. 21) with their next Tespa match and will be playing at 8:00 PM and 9:30 PM at www.twitch.tv/cokeresports
