HARTSVILLE, SC. - Men's baseball hits the road Wednesday afternoon to take on nationally ranked Mount Olive. Following the midweek game, the Cobras will play a four game series with Chowan starting Friday night. Game one will be at Coker, before the final three games being at Carolina Bank Field.

COBRA CORNER:
- Coker saw three players receive All-Conference Preseason 2nd team before the season, as Jaylen Mack (catcher), Aaron Diaz (SP), and Tyler Satterley (RP) all look to be key pieces in the 2025 season.
- The Cobras return 35 players from last years team that finished 2nd in the SAC regular season.
- Cameron Ferrell, Ick Cirino, Jaylen Mack, Hunter Poole, Gabriel Santiago, Adam Wilkerson, and Jacob Yarberry all return to the Cobra lineup after logging at least 100 plate
- Jaylen Mack went 5-10 (.500) in the opening weekend, as Ick Cirino (.444) Hunter Poole (.417), Alex Lazar (.417), and Gabriel Santiago (.400) all hit about .400 on the weekend.
- Tyler Satterley earned the lone win on the weekend, with Kyle Stock picking up a save.
- The Cobras stole seven bases opening weekend, with Santiago stealing a team best three.
- Luke Alford swatted the first home run of the year for the Cobras on Saturday
LAST TIME OUT:
- Coker got down 9 to 0 early in the season opener, but showed fight throughout storming back bringing the game to within two runs, before the Crusaders ultimately shut the door.
- The Cobras out hit the Crusaders on the night with Ick Cirino, Hunter Poole, Jaylen Mack, and Alex Lazar all recorded multiple hits.
- Cody Chapman started the game for the Cobras hot. The Senior struck out the side in the opening inning, to kickoff the 2025 campaign.
- On day two, the Cobras won game one evening the series at one.
- Coker and Belmont Abbey raced through the first two innings in Saturday's double header with neither team producing a run. Starting pitcher, Casey Cleghorn, played a huge role in that as he went 4.2 innings on the day, while striking out four.
- Hunter Poole got the scoring started on a bunt single in the third.
- After getting into a jam, the Cobras gave the ball to Satterley who shut down the Crusaders threat, keeping the game knotted at two in the fifth.
- The Cobras eventually took down the Crusaders in 7 innings, as Kyle Stock shut the door on the Belmont Abbey threat to even the series.
- In game two Belmont Abbey raced out to an early lead and received outstanding pitching performances to help keep the Coker offense at bay to take the series.
