2019-20: Appeared in 12 games during a shortened season due to COVID-19...recorded two hits.

2018-19: Appeared in 42 games...Scored 33 runs with having 38 hits for the Cobras...He had an OBP of .396 which marked a new career high in a single season. Named to the All-Defensive team and received a Gold Glove for 2nd base.

2017-18: Appeared in 30 games...Scored eight runs including winning runs in the Cobras walk-off victories over Lincoln Memorial (April 8th), and Tusculum (April 14th).. Recorded three multi-hit games...Went 2-4 with a double and run scored against Wingate on March 17th.

2016-17: Played in 42 games during his rookie campaign, making 38 starts...Hit for a .287 average and also recorded a .351 on-base percentage and a .346 slugging percentage...Tallied 39 total hits, including six doubles and one triple...He had 24 RBI on the season and also scored 18 runs...The freshman also drew nine walks and was a perfect 5-5 in stolen bases...He was a nominee for Male Newcomer of the Year at Coker's annual FANG Awards.

High School: Attended White Knoll High School where he played baseball for the Timberwolves...On the diamond, he was a member of the 2015 region championship team and a member of the 2016 district championship team...He was an all-region and all-midlands selection...Off the field, he was a member of the honor roll.

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker University baseball team picked up their second victory of the young 2020 season with a 16-1 win over the Chowan University Hawks. Offensively, Vito Castronovo led the way with six runs batted in, while John DeFazio struck out 10 over six innings of work.
