Coker to Host UNC-Pembroke Braves in Midweek Non-Conference Tilt

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Coker College baseball team will take the field at Tom J. New Field at Dave Schmotzer Stadium on Wednesday, March 7, in a midweek non-conference game against the UNC-Pembroke Braves. First pitch is slated for 2:00 p.m. 

Coker College (9-7) will come into the contest hitting .279 as a team, with 87 runs scored on 131 hits, including 36 extra base hits. Brooks Estrada leads all Cobra hitters with a .407 / .458 / .556 slash-line with nine runs driven in, seven runs scored, with three doubles, a triple, and a home run.

Reilly Hall resides close by, putting up a .388 mark at the plate in 16 games played. The Coker backstop has drawn 10 walks on the season, which leads all Navy and Gold hitters.

In Coker's last series against Carson-Newman (March 3 & 4), Tanner Wofford came on in relief for the final 7.0 innings in game three. It was Wofford's fifth appearance of the season, as he came in and diffused the Eagles at the plate, allowing just one run along the way.
