Railsplitters Take Two from Cobras

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College baseball team dropped games one and two of its three-game South Atlantic Conference series on Saturday (Apr. 11) against the visiting Lincoln Memorial University Railsplitters. The Cobras dropped game one 8-2, then fell in game two 12-5.

In game one, a late inning surge by the Railsplitters would be the differnence. Will Winslow, Jack Leech and Sammy Song all went 2-for-4. Taylor Fennewald and Dustin Russell had an RBI apiece while going 1-for-4

In game two, a pair of four runs innings would give LMU the 12-5 win. Winslow had another solid game at the plate, going 1-for-1, scoring runs and knocking in two RBIs. Tyler Osik and Joe Diaz each went 1-for-3 with an RBI. Leech also picked up an RBI as well.

Forrest Arnold was tagged with the loss in game one. He tossed seven innings, scattering 10 hits and five earned runs. Ryan Milner was hit with the loss in game two. He went five innings, giving up eight runs on 13 hits.

The Cobras will play game three of their three-game series tomorrow (Apr. 12) at 1 p.m. Senior members of Coker's baseball team will be honored before the start of the game.
